CFPC Support Parent Programs

Parents of children with disabilities have shared that they receive the best information and emotional support from other parents of children with disabilities.  We have two parent-matching programs here at CFPC:

1.) CFPC Support Parents are
 veteran parents with whom we
match other parents who are in
 need of
emotional support.

2.) CFPC IEP Support Parents
 are trained veteran parents
with whom we match other
parents who are in need of
help with their child's IEP.

With either program, support might be offered by email, over the phone, or in person, depending upon
specific circumstances.

And yes, a support person might be able to attend an IEP with you - not as an advocate (you are your child's advocate!) but as a support to you.

If you would like to be matched up with an
AWARE Volunteer Support Parent,

If you would like to BE a Volunteer Support Parent, please

email us at cfpc@CFLparents.org

If you have any questions about this volunteer program,

email us at:  volunteer@CFLparents.org
