![]() Inside the visitor center, we learned about the Cross Florida Barge Canal... it was a huge project that began in the 1930's. February 2008 |

![]() We even watched a little movie about the construction of the canal. By the way, work was stopped on the canal, which was 1/3 complete, by an injunction in 1971. February 2008 |
