Areas of expertise: Mental Health, 504, IEP, Early Intervention
I am a mother of four wonderful children ages eight, ten,
eleven, and twelve. I reside in Sarasota County and love being an
active member of my community. I truly grew up a part of the community
of those living with exceptionalities from the time I was born. My
mother, aunt, godmother, along with all of my mother’s closest friends
were all involved in educating & assisting families, students and adults
with exceptionalities. One of my first jobs was as a respite worker for
children with exceptionalities.
Throughout the years I would learn to navigate the system
with my own children whom have been a part of the 504 & IEP process. I
was a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist in the state of Florida which
focuses on Mental Health in both family and adults. I have volunteered
on numerous advisory boards throughout the county. I joined the National
Federation of Families and eventually became President of the local
chapter in Sarasota. I love to help families with children of all
exceptionalities and enjoy learning and having knowledge in all arenas
that I can. I pride myself on being a supportive coach that will always
listen and respect each family’s individual needs and choices.
I was honored when I joined the team at Central Florida Parent Center, a true family organization. The goals, principles, and dedication were in line with all that I have strived to provide when working with others.
