Information for Parents

We are parents of children with disabilities ourselves, so be assured we
have a wealth of information especially useful to parents!  Click on this link for information about specific disabilities, about the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the Individualized Education Plan process, and about strategies for developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with school personnel.

 

Information for Students

With the help of our Youth Coordinator, we've developed a website specifically for students and young adults with disabilities which includes a message board and chat room.

CFPC Message Board & Chat

A great way to connect with others, our online bulletin board is a place where parents can meet other parents.  Do you have information to share?  An announcement to make?  A story to tell?  A message board is a convenient option for those who prefer interactive communication.  CFPC will also be hosting regular online chat sessions in a private chat room.
