Disability Program Navigator Initiative

Division of Vocational Rehabilitation

Florida Independent Living Council (FILC)

The Florida Independent Living Council is a statewide council established by federal mandate and Florida Statute. It consists of 15 voting members, who are appointed by the Governor.  FILC's purpose is to promote independent living opportunities for persons with disabilities throughout the state of Florida. YES! Your Employment Services 

Your Employment Selections (YES!) is a motion-video, Internet-based job preference program for youth and adults with disabilities. This program allows youth and adult participants with limited or no reading skills to watch videos of jobs, listen as a narrator describes key tasks in each job, and select preferred ones.  YES includes video of 120 jobs. Each video shows 2 to 4 minutes of critical tasks involved in a job. Video was recorded at community employment sites across the nation. Participants can search for preferred employment in one of two ways, "Search by Work Conditions" or "Search by Job Tasks".  There is a small fee for an unlimited 3 month subscription.  http://www.yesjobsearch.com/index.cfm
